ARCH1101 Studio Session One

a) Visual Arts Body of Work (Oil on Masonite)

The body of work explores notions of 'age', or plainly,
getting old. Much attention was focused on the
conceptual relevance of both the materials used and
the composition of the piece. Because of the time
consuming, expressive and accumulative nature of
the work, much effort was put into the piece, hence,
it is my "best piece of creative work in high school".

b) London city scape

There wasn't one building that inspired me to become an  architect, instead, it was architecture as a whole; design, history, philosophy, everything. The mix and development in architecture spanning hundreds of years that can be seen just by looking at London's city scape is a perfect example of the many different elements of architecture that makes it such an interesting profession.

c) Trees
Trees are beautiful even with their irregularity.  Their 'design' is essentially planned, yet executed in the most natural way.
